There are two methods to update the Mx200 readout software. The first is via Over The Air (OTA) update, and the second is via a USB flash drive. If you have the AG (Air Guard) version of the Mx200 then you can only update it via a USB flash drive.
Procedure for updating the Mx200 Software Over The Air (OTA)
1. Access Mx200 Settings Menu via the Mx button(top left corner or softkey menu).
2. Navigate to Password and enter Supervisor Password.
3. Navigate to System-->Wifi Settings and configure a wifi connection(SSID and PW).
4. Touch the Android back button « to return to the main screen of the Mx200.
5. Access the Mx200 Settings Menu once more.
6. Navigate to System-->Check for Updates.
7. Confirm prompts to update software and to restart the Readout.
IMPORTANT: During the Update process please ensure that power is not disconnected from the readout. Allow the update process to finish completely, including readout reboot. Once the update process is complete, verify that the new version of the software has been successfully loaded by going to the Mx About menu(Mx Button), and verifying the correct software version number.
Procedure for updating the Mx200 Software Via a USB Flash Drive.
Two files are required and a flash drive (32Gb or smaller, formated as FAT or FAT 32) to update the Mx digital readout.
1. update.zip (V1.08)
2. build.prop (V1.08)
Place these two files at the root location of a clean USB Flash Drive.
To update the Mx Readout:
1. Insert the USB Flash Drive into the USB port of the readout.
2. Access Mx200 Settings Menu via the Mx button(top left corner or softkey menu).
3. Navigate to Password and enter Supervisor Password.
4. Navigate to System-->Check for Updates.
5. Confirm prompts to update software and to restart the Readout.
